Bulldogs Win!
"It's down to this field goal.... it's blocked, Bulldogs win!'' said the announcer. It was a tight game the whole way between the Davidson Wildcats and the Drake Bulldogs. The Wildcats lead off with a touchdown but the Bulldogs answered with a touchdown of their own. It was no looking back from there as the Bulldogs won in a close one, 20-17. The last play was a 25 yard field goal that was blocked by the Bulldogs ending the game. Hopefully this will give the Bulldogs momentum for the rest of the season because they were looking for something to get them fired up. The Bulldogs have a buy week this coming week and hope to have the same outcome next against Morehead State.
It's all tied up
The World Series has been a nail bitter in the first two games. The Phillie's winning the first game and the Rays taking game two. Each game has been close and very good pitching by both pitching staffs. It's basically up for grabs now and whoever wants it more can take it. Game three is set at the Phillie's ball park even though it has showed that home field has not ment much with each team taking a game. Lets see who will take game three and if that momentum will carry into winning the World Series.

Texas stays alive
The #1 Texas Longhorns faced off against the #11 Missouri Tigers. For some reason ESPN favored the Tigers by 63% (for those of you who don't know what that means, it means the Missouri Tigers were picked to win by 63% of the people). I personally thought Texas would win but I guess ESPN thought otherwise. The Longhorns came out strong leading 35-3 at half. The Tigers though won the third quarter but it wasn't enough falling 56-31. I thought it was going to be a much closer game but the Longhorns thought otherwise. So finally a #1 ranked team wins and there will be no mystery who next weeks #1 will be.
Red Sox force game 7!
As we all know, the Boston Red Sox are in their prime when they are down in a series and everybody turns off the t.v. They showed another one of those moments when they came back from a 7-0 deficit in game 5. I even will fess up to shutting off the t.v., but I turned it back on to see the score and when I saw it was 7-4 I started watching it again. J.D. Drew is probably one of the most clutch players in the mlb with his home run to make the game 7-6, and his game-winning ground-rule-double in the ninth. That game made the Red Sox have all the momentum in game 6 and pull away with a 4-2 victory. Now it's game 7 and it's win or go home for both teams. We will see who shines through in the toughest circumstances.

It was a Nail Bitter!
The #1 Oklahoma Sooners faced off against the #5 Texas Longhorns. It was a close game the whole way. The Sooners lead for most of the way but the Longhorns came back with some controversial calls. Both quaterbacks had good games with a high scoring game but the Longhorns came out on top 45-35 even though it seemed a lot closer. The whole game was high energy offense and big hits on defense. The Sooners lost their middle linebacker in the fourth quater ehich set them back but it was Colt McCoy and his offense which showed the heart. Now all we have to see is who is the new #1.
Red Sox win game 1
The Rays went into the American League Championship series with the Red Sox with a slight advantage winning the regular season series 10-8. That edge didn't seem to help in the first game of the series with the Red Sox pulling away with a win 2-0. Dice-K had some struggle in the first inning but got out of it like usual and then found his grove. He had a no-hitter until the 7th inning when he gave up two hits but still came out of it. The Red Sox went up 2-0 when a Rays outfielder dove for a ball but missed which scored Dustin Pedroia and they went up 2-0. Then Hideki Okajima and Justin Masterson came in and closed the next inning. Finally Jonathan Papelbon came in and finished the game out like usual and the Red Sox are up 1 game to none.
