Cavs looking good
The Cleveland Cavalries are looking like a real finals contender. They defeated the Spurs pretty handily. LeBron had another great game and showed that hustle pays off even in the pros by spinning around a Spur defender for the rebound. Though the Cavs are looking good, they would have to pass the strong Celtics squad with newly acquired Stephan Marbarry.
Pitt goes down
#1 Pittsburgh lost this past week to unranked Providence. Providence came out strong while Pitt was shaken by Providences abilities. With new coach Keno Davis, Providence looks like a real contender in the later games. They are a bubble team and if they play like this then they will make it in for sure. As it shows, being #1 has been nothing good for teams this year. But it will be another interesting one to see who becomes #1.

T-Wolves Game!
I just got back from the Timberwolves game and it was a blast! My dad and I went together and had ok seats thinking they would get killed by the extremely talented Lakers but turned out the T-Wolves only lost by two. I know I said two. The Wolves looked like a whole different team since the last time I went which was like two months ago. Even without Al Jefferson they almost had enough to pull through a big one. Lets hope this helps them gain momentum with the games coming.
A bad week for high seeds
This past week was a rough one for the top three seeds in college basketball. #1 UConn lost, #2 Oklahoma lost, and #3 North Carolina lost. The next question is who is the new #1? Is it Pitt or maybe Memphis? Who knows but It will be a tough one this week and an interesting one.

Pitt vs. UConn
It's time for another big match up in the college basketball world. The two teams are on a role now except UConn lost their best guard Jerome Dyson for probably the rest of the year. It's going to be a great match up of the bigs as 7'3'' Hasheem Thabeet of UConn squares up against the physical specimen for Pittsburgh in DeJuan Blair. The big who takes over and the guards who bring their A game will come out on top.
NBA allstar game
The allstar game was on last night and it was sure fun to watch. When you have bigs like Dwight Howard and Shaq practicing their ball-handling skill, its great. When Shaq went between Dwight's legs to Chris Paul then back to Shaq for the flush, I almost jumped out of my seat with laughter. Lebron James throwing it down harder than a rock falls to the ground and Chris Paul dropping dimes more than a man with a hole in his pocket. I all can say is that I can't wait til next year.

Pro Bowl
The Pro Bowl is on tonight and I will be watching it. Even though it doesn't have much hype, it's still fun to watch. Especially when there is a lot of players from the Vikings in it. I think the funnest part of it is watching the best of the best on both sides of the ball play with each other. There is usually some sweet touchdown dances and big hits.
Minnesota falling
The Minnesota Gophers mens basketball team started off the season strong but as of lately have been falling. They beat Louisville in the beginning of the season which shocked the basketball world but haven't had a big win since. They have lost to Michigan State twice and just lost to unranked Ohio State in a close one. The Gophers are now 18-5 but still ranked for now. Hopefully the Gophers can turn it around and end the season strong with a run going into the tourney.

Four #1's?
Who are going to get the four #1 seeds in the NCAA basketball tournament. It's a toss up and there are at least eight teams in the hunt. #1 seeds are a pretty big thing because then you get to play a #16 seed and also if you end up not being a #1 seed then you might have to have a hard road ahead of you. This year might be one of those years that it wont matter if you are a #1 seed because seeds 1-4 will probably all be tough, not mentioning the possible upsets. I cant wait to fill in the brackets and see who emerges with the title.
Timberwolves comeback?
The Minnesota Timberwolves started off the season with a terrible record but still not in last place thanks to the Oklahoma City Thunder. It started to look like another one of those seasons. Then the Timberwolves fired their head coach and decided to let former NBA star, Kevin Mchale take the job. The team was up to their usual loosing almost every game then finally they got into a run. The Timberwolves are the hottest team of the new year and seem to have something going.
