Vikings get Harvin

The Vikings might have taken the biggest risk in the first round with picking Percy Harvin. He is a speedy WR/RB from Florida but has off the field problems. He failed the drug test before the combine so that dropped him on everyones draft board except I guess Minnesota. Harvin is he biggest win/loss in th draft I feel. He could either have an amazing career or a bad one. I hope Harvin turns out to be a huge help for the Viking in years to come.

NFL Draft

The NFL Draft started yesterday and it wasn't a deep skills draft. Mostly a Offensive lineman and defensive draft. The biggest surprise in the first round was the Raiders passing up on Micheal Crabree. The Raiders got a different WR instead and many people including me, were surprised. That was the biggest surprise but also the Jets taking Mark Sanchez #5 also shocked me.

Twins big comeback

The Twins have had one of the biggest comebacks ever in franchise history this past week. They were down 9-2 in the seventh inning. Thats where I turned the game off. Then next morning I saw that the Twins came back and won thanks to Jason Kubel. He hit for the cycle and had a grandslam which helped put the Twins in front. Kubel came back the very next day and was another huge factor in their win against the Angels both times with 4 hits. The Twins are on a little hot streak and lets see if they can keep it going.

Celtics down 1-0

In a shocking game one, the Bulls beat the Celtics in OT. The Celtics are hurting without one of their big three in the lineup which is Kevin Garnett. The Celtics being the 2 seed in the East were picked to win the NBA Championship by some again this year. So far though it looks like it will be a tough road ahead for them at this pace. The Celtics will need to put something together without Garnett in the lineup.

Twins start 1-1

Twins loss home opener but come back with a win. The Twins loss their first game 6-1 against the Seattle Mariners. Then the Twins cam back the very next day and beat the Mariners 6-5. Alexi Castillo had the game winning hit to put the Twins in the win column. The Twins are a young but talented team. I think they will have a good year but we will just have t wait and see.

NCAA Championship a blow out

This years NCAA tournament was nothing close to the excitement of last years. Last year it came down to a last second shot to send it into overtime, then Kansas took over. This year, a total blowout! UNC just took it to Michigan State right from the get-go. They got on a huge run and never even glanced back. North Carolina just played their "A" game and Michigan State was no match. Michigan State had a great tournament up to that point but then I don't know what happened. It's like they just gave up some people might say but the true basketball people know the truth. Michigan State didn't match up with UNC at all. Not by size or anything and it doesn't hurt that UNC played a great game. Let's just hope next year has a better game in store for us.

MLB regular season is finally here!

The MLB season is starting Monday and I can't wait. From the 100 mph fastballs to the towering 500 ft. home runs, baseball is a sight for all ages. Who knows who the Rays of 08 will be (for those who don't know that means a team not expected to do much but has an unexpected season). Sure the Yankees trade for every all-star they can get but so far it hasn't helped. The Red Sox or last year the Rays have been winning as of late but it all might change. Be there for the exciting first pitch of every game and don't miss a second.

Michigan State vs. UNC

Its set. The NCAA Championship game is Michigan State vs. UNC. Monday night thats all I'm going ti do is watch the game. It could go either way with UNC having a full roster up and down but Michigan State is playing some amazing basketball. Most people had UNC in the finals but little people thought Michigan State would be there. It's going to be a thriller so watch and enjoy.
